You know boxing -- more than any other sport, it offers up some of the most compelling storylines around. And, virtually every fight offers up hyperbole beyond belief. It's a game of one-upsmanship, with sides looking for the verbal, mental advantage.
That said, Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, might have given the Shane Mosley camp some bulletin board material when he said his fighter wouuld become the first man to put Mosley down for the count.
“I’m confident Manny will become the first person to knockout Mosley,” Roach said during the open media day workout earlier this week, according to the Asian Journal.“It’ll be icing on the cake for Manny and prove that he’s truly the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.”
Mosley has never been counted out in his 53-fight career.
